Whiting Auction

This auction will be somewhat unique because every item has been used by the seller. If you consider generations then some of these items go back 4 generations and there are no surprises because all of the items have either been collected by the seller or was handed down.  

There has been a concentrated effort to assemble all of the lots in a manner so that each and every bidder should be comfortable with the type of lot, the size of lot and also the content of the lot. 

 There are enough items and enough variation in the items to suit and fit every interest and every individual’s taste. You’ll notice that the descriptions for the lots specifies that many of the lots are new or brand new, that is because this seller was an avid collector of edged weapons as well as a collector of specialty tools as well as high end tools. 

 If you consider 20 or even 30 years old for items to be noted as vintage then the majority of the lots can easily be called vintage. Surprising enough is the fact that 95+% of the lots titled as new are in fact just that. 

 There has always been that tug on this seller’s senses to accumulate many things. and in that effort quality has always been the most important thing. 

 You will notice a significant amount of power tools, such as saws, drills, band mills, routers, sanders and on and on, this is because for about 20 years this seller operated a construction company, known for custom homes, and infrastructure installations, as well as rural water systems and on and on, thus some of the reasoning for the power tool collection. 

 As you browse the hardwood selections that are up for bidding, each and every species has been harvested just a few hundred feet from where they are displayed. As the logs were sawn with a band mill, careful attention was given to be sure that thickness and or quality of the wood was given careful attention. Considering Missouri walnut as premier, then that is what you will be bidding on. The other species lotted other than just one or two piles that were purchased for projects off site are native.  The seller operated a small wood shop for many years, so there are many larger woodworking tools that are being auctioned. All of those are in top condition, you will notice many Older Craftsman tools that were produced in the 1940’s and or 1950’s, that is when Craftsman was king and matches even today high end tools of the same type. 

 Hopefully the redundancy of some lots is not discouraging or boring, because for me that would be perfect. To the best of my knowledge everything being auctioned is as the descriptions specify.

 The caveat to all I have said and or specified is the fact that all Auction sites have rules and regulations, so for the bidders, be sure to adhere to and follow those rules, because what I have said satisfies my concerns but means nothingnor does what I have said trump the Auction sites rules, those are the gospel that each bidder must adhere to.
