Delta Trailer – Modified Douglas Aircraft Trailer (Model P-6423-1)Historic NASA Apollo Program Equipment Originally engineered as a Douglas Aircraft Trailer, Model P-6423-1, this unit was modified by Delta and served as an essential logistics component during the Apollo space program. Former NASA property, this trailer played a direct role in the transportation of critical Apollo rocket components, specifically assisting in the movement of the third stage (S-IVB) of the Saturn rocket. It is believed to have been part of the logistical chain leading to loading in the Aero Spacelines “Super Guppy” aircraft, which ferried oversized rocket parts between facilities.
